Congratulations Debbie

Debbie with the Webs poster!I won the WEBS weaving competition, with the red jacket I made at Daryl Lancaster’s workshop in Peter’s Valley last summer! If I felt like a 6-year-old with a gold star when I got into the finals — this was better than making the honor society!!!
The jacket is in tencel, and a design that some of you have seen before, based on the opening measures of Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata. Webs+Winning+Posterjacket+idema+frontjacket+idema+backThe red jacket I made at Daryl Lancaster’s Peters Valley Workshop won first place in the “clothing” category in the WEBS competition.  The jacket is in a design I call “Basically Beethoven” and is inspired by the opening measures of the Pathetique Sonata.  It’s an 8-shaft networked advancing twill in tencel.
